Questions

Anagram Solver FAQ

What does the ? wildcard do in the Anagram Solver?

Each question mark stands for one unknown letter. Enter ca? to find words such as cab, can, car, and cat when they are valid in the selected dictionary.

Does the solver use every letter?

The main solver finds words made from some or all of your letters. It never uses a letter more times than it appears in the rack, unless a question mark supplies the missing tile.

How do Extra Letters work?

Extra Letters are required in every result. You can require the letters at the beginning, anywhere in the word, or at the end.

Which game dictionaries can I search?

You can compare Words With Friends, Scrabble US, Scrabble UK, SOWPODS, Word Chums, Wordscapes, and a combined Scrabble profile. Game publishers can change accepted words over time.
