How it works

A Wordle helper for narrowing the next guess

1

Add your guess

Type the word you played in Wordle. The row starts gray so you can set each tile quickly.

2

Match the colors

Click a tile to cycle gray, yellow, and green until it matches the result you saw in the game.

3

Get suggestions

The solver filters impossible words, ranks the remaining candidates, and shows the strongest next guesses.

Strategy

Wordle solving tips

Start with a balanced opener that covers common vowels and consonants. After each guess, protect green letters, move yellow letters to new positions, and avoid gray letters unless duplicate-letter clues suggest a limited repeat.

If Wordle rejects every suggestion, try enabling plurals or use the extended-list suggestions as exploratory guesses. The result from a rejected-looking word can still reveal high-value letter information for the next round.

Wordle Solver FAQ

How do I use the Wordle Solver?

Add each guess you already tried, then click the tiles until their colors match your Wordle feedback. Press the suggestion button to see candidate next guesses.

What do the symbols mean?

The solver uses the same compact symbols as the reference project: plus for green, question mark for yellow, and underscore for gray.

Why does the solver switch word lists?

It starts with an opener list for early guesses and then uses an extended English list when more clues are available or the opener list has no match.

Does this solve official Wordle only?

No. The solver supports variable word lengths and a broader English word list, so it can help with Wordle-style games beyond the daily five-letter puzzle.
